  • 1 lb cooked and flaked salmon (or low-sodium canned salmon)
  • 1 large cooked and mashed sweet potato
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional: 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • Optional: pinch of turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. If using fresh salmon, bake it for about 20 minutes until flaked; otherwise, drain the canned salmon.
  3. Cook the sweet potato until soft and mash it smoothly.
  4. Grate the carrots and chop the parsley if using.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine flaked salmon, mashed sweet potato, egg, oat flour, parsley, carrots, and turmeric. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until firm and golden on top.
  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing into portions for your dog.
