  • 1 Ciabatta or Baguette
  • 56 Roma or Strauchtomaten (approx. 500g)
  • 2 large cloves of garlic
  • 10 large fresh basil leaves
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tomatoes by removing seeds and dicing them. Press one garlic clove and halve the other.
  2. Stack and roll basil leaves, then slice into thin strips.
  3. In a bowl, mix diced tomatoes, basil, pressed garlic, 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper. Let it sit briefly.
  4. Slice the Ciabatta into 12-14 pieces and toast at 180°C for 5-8 minutes until golden brown. Rub each slice with the halved garlic clove and drizzle with remaining olive oil.
  5. Top each toasted slice with tomato mixture and serve immediately.
