  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced
  • Cornstarch and chicken stock for the sauce

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips and marinate with soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch for about 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce by mixing chicken stock, Shaoxing wine, soy sauces, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl.
  3. Steam the broccoli in a skillet until bright green and tender-crisp; set aside.

  5. Add garlic and ginger, stir briefly to release their fragrance.
