  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (mixed with water)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry marinated beef in batches for 1–2 minutes until browned; set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add sliced onions and cook for 2–3 minutes until caramelized.
  4. Stir in minced garlic for 30 seconds, then return the beef to the pan.
  5. Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and cornstarch slurry; stir until the sauce thickens.
  6. Garnish with green onions and serve hot over rice or noodles.
