  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¾ cup half and half
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ lb Shellbow pasta
  • ¾ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¾ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¾ teaspoon dried mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine dried herbs in a small bowl and set aside. Measure out all other ingredients for efficiency.
  2. In a soup pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and herbs; stir until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, half and half, soy sauce, and crumble in the bouillon cube; stir well.
  4. Bring to a boil, add Shellbow pasta, and cook uncovered according to package instructions while stirring occasionally.
  5. Once cooked, reduce heat to low and gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Finish with fresh lemon juice and the remaining tablespoon of butter.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
