Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 5 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by cutting it into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Coat each piece of chicken in the seasoned flour mixture.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat; add unsalted butter and canola oil. Once melted, add the coated chicken in an even layer.
  4. Sear each side for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  5. Combine softened butter with honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a separate bowl. Pour over the chicken in the skillet and stir gently to coat.
  6. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
