Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Season chicken thighs with smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add to the pot and sear until golden brown on both sides (5–7 minutes). Remove from pot and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add orzo pasta and toast lightly for about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and stir well. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes until orzo is al dente.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Return the cooked chicken to the pot and heat for another 2–3 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
