Scale
  • 1 lb steak, sliced into thin strips (sirloin or flank recommended)
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or fettuccine)
  • 1 cup beef broth (low-sodium preferred)
  • ½ cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak strips with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove from heat.
  2. In the same skillet, pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in honey BBQ sauce and heavy cream until combined.
  3. Add cooked pasta and seared steak back into the skillet. Gently stir to coat everything evenly in the sauce.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture and let it melt on low heat for about 2 minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving warm with fresh parsley as garnish.
