  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, rice vinegar, ginger, and black pepper.
  3. Pour sauce over the chicken and coat well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until tender.
  5. For thicker sauce (optional), remove chicken, mix cornstarch with water, add to slow cooker, stir well, and cook on high for an additional 15 minutes.
