  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs (regular & panko)
  • 1 tsp chili powder or cayenne
  • Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp parsley, dried
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 7/8 tsp paprika, smoked
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 pinch salt
  • 1 neutral oil
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces and mix with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, parsley, egg, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, combine the flour, black pepper, chili powder, paprika, red pepper flakes, and additional salt.
  3. Dredge each piece of seasoned fish in the flour mixture, dip in milk, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat (or preheat air fryer/oven). Cook nuggets until golden brown on both sides (about 3–5 minutes per side).
  5. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
