Spicy Fish Nuggets are a delightful combination of flavor and crunch, perfect for any occasion. These crispy bites feature boneless white fish coated in a zesty peri peri seasoning, delivering an irresistible kick that will elevate your meals.

  • 14 oz boneless white fish
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Neutral oil for frying
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp parsley, dried
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder or cayenne
  • 7/8 tsp paprika, smoked
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 pinch salt
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, regular
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Cut the boneless white fish into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the egg and lemon juice.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, parsley, black pepper, chili powder or cayenne, paprika, red pepper flakes, and salt.
  4. Dip each fish piece into the wet mixture and then coat with the dry mixture. For extra crunchiness, dip again in milk followed by breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry in heated oil over medium heat until golden brown (3–4 minutes per side) or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes.
