Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and reserve some starchy water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet until golden brown (5–7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and tent with foil.
  3. In the same skillet, lower heat and add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add chicken broth and heavy cream; bring to a gentle simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Return sliced chicken and cooked penne pasta to the skillet; toss gently until everything is coated in the sauce. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
