  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sear the flank steak slices for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar; stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the steak to the skillet along with bell pepper slices; cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing well to coat in sauce.
