Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets Cut into small, bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Choose sharp cheddar for a bolder flavor.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use panko for extra crunchiness.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds a savory depth.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the overall flavor.

Method

  1. Start by washing and trimming your fresh broccoli into small florets. Ensure they are evenly sized for consistent cooking in the air fryer.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, and garlic powder. Stir until all ingredients are well combined and coated.
  3. Scoop out small portions of the mixture and shape them into bite-sized balls or patties using your hands. Aim for uniform sizes to ensure even cooking.
  4. Set your air fryer to preheat at 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the formed poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook them for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  6. Once cooked, remove the poppers from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. Pair with your favorite dipping sauces.
