Method
Prepare the Filling
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
Make the Bread Batter
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Combine and Bake
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Spread the apple filling over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Prepare the Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Once the bread is cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
