Ingredients
  

Bread Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Filling Ingredients
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples preferably Granny Smith
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
Topping Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
Make the Bread Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Combine and Bake
  1. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. Spread the apple filling over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Prepare the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  2. Once the bread is cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
