Ingredients
  

For the Fritter Bites
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
Fry the Fritter Bites
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  3. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritter bites before serving.
