Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (mix of colors)
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Method
 

  1. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
  2. Marinate beef in soy sauce and cornstarch for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan; sauté garlic and onions until translucent.
  4. Add marinated beef; sear until browned (about 4–5 minutes).
  5. Stir in bell peppers; cook until slightly softened (about 3–4 minutes).
  6. Pour in chicken broth mixed with brown sugar and black pepper; simmer until sauce thickens.
