Ingredients
  

Gnocchi
  • 500 grams gnocchi store-bought or homemade
Bolognese Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 500 grams ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 400g
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • salt to taste salt
  • pepper to taste black pepper
Cheese Topping
  • 200 grams mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Cook the Gnocchi
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float.
  2. Drain the gnocchi and set aside.
Assemble the Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a baking dish, combine the cooked gnocchi and Bolognese sauce. Mix well.
  3. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
