Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 breasts boneless, skinless chicken about 1 lb
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend
  • 8 tortillas corn
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • ½ cup sour cream for serving
  • ½ cup salsa verde for serving

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and cumin. Cook in a skillet over medium heat until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Shred the chicken once cooled.
  2. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Mix into shredded chicken along with cheese.
  3. Warm tortillas to make them pliable. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture at one end of each tortilla and roll tightly.
  4. Heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry flautas until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with sour cream and salsa verde.

Notes
