Ingredients

Pasta and Beef
  • 12 oz rigatoni or any pasta of choice
  • 1 lb ground beef 85% lean preferred
  • 1 tsp salt for pasta water
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
Creamy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream for creaminess
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated, plus more for serving
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning for flavor
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or beef broth
Garnish
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method

Cook the Pasta
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add rigatoni and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta in a colander.
Prepare the Beef
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Make the Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water as needed.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese.
