  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 large eggs room temperature

Method

Baking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with whole milk, until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in crushed Oreo cookies until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  5. Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
Frosting Steps
  1. For frosting, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Frost between layers and on top of cooled cakes, garnishing with additional crushed Oreos.
