Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 cup Ground Pork or Chicken Can substitute with turkey or tofu for a vegetarian version
  • 2 cups Shredded Cabbage
  • 1 cup Shredded Carrots
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Green Onions
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Minced Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
Wrappers and Oil
  • 10 sheets Egg Roll Wrappers
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil For frying
Dipping Sauce
  • to taste Sweet Chili Sauce For dipping

Method
 

Cooking Directions
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  2. Add ground pork or chicken; cook until browned.
  3. Stir in cabbage and carrots; cook for 3-5 minutes until softened. Add green onions and soy sauce, mix well.
  4. Let the filling cool for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Lay an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape; place 1-2 tablespoons of filling at one corner, fold tightly, tuck in sides, and roll up.
  6. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry each egg roll until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve with sweet chili sauce.
