  • 1 pound kielbasa sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut drained
  • 1 medium sweet onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon caraway seeds optional

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Toss in sliced kielbasa and cook until browned on both sides.
  3. Stir in drained sauerkraut, smoked paprika, and black pepper; mix well.
  4. If using, sprinkle caraway seeds over the mixture.
  5. Cover the skillet, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for about 10 minutes for flavors to meld.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
