Ingredients
  

Pie Crust
  • 1 each pre-made pie crust 9-inch
Filling
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
Topping
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream chilled
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the melted chocolate and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Assemble the Pie
  1. Pour the chocolate filling into the pre-made pie crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  2. Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours or until set.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  2. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled pie evenly.
Serve
