  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pipe the batter into the greased doughnut pan about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and springy.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
