Honey Butter Peach Chicken

Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts skinless
Honey Butter Sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Peach Topping
  • 2 cups fresh peaches sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to prevent browning
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Honey Butter Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, honey, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well until combined.
  2. Set aside half of the honey butter mixture for later use.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  2. During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the chicken with the honey butter sauce.
Prepare the Peach Topping
  1. In a bowl, toss the sliced peaches with lemon juice to coat.
  2. Add the peaches to the skillet with the chicken during the last 2 minutes of cooking, allowing them to warm up.
Serve
  1. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place on a serving platter. Top with warm peaches and drizzle with reserved honey butter sauce.
  2. Garnish with chopped basil before serving.
