Ingredients
  

Shrimp
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Hot Honey Sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for extra heat
Oil for frying
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Shrimp
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Dip each shrimp into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture until well coated.
Fry the Shrimp
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry the shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove shrimp with tongs and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Make Hot Honey Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes. Heat over low heat until warm and mixed.
  2. Remove from heat and set aside.
Serve
  1. Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the fried shrimp or toss them in the sauce before serving.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!
