  • 4 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 1.5 lbs
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger grated
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Method
 

  1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix cornstarch with salt and pepper. Coat chicken pieces in the mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; cook chicken until golden brown and crispy (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. In another bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, orange juice, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes; pour over cooked chicken.
  5. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Garnish with green onions and drizzle with sesame oil before serving.
