Ingredients
  

Tilapia
  • 4 fillets tilapia fresh or thawed
Marinade
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest freshly grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Green Beans
  • 1 pound green beans trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon butter for sautéing
  • 1 teaspoon salt for boiling

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper.
Marinate the Tilapia
  1. Place the tilapia fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
Cook the Green Beans
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Tilapia
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated tilapia fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and flaky.
Sauté the Green Beans
  1. In the same skillet, add butter and sauté the cooked green beans for 2-3 minutes until heated through. Season with salt to taste.
Serve
  1. Plate the tilapia fillets alongside the sautéed green beans. Serve immediately.

Notes
