Ingredients
  

Sorbet Base
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for sweetening
  • 1 cup water for syrup
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries for color and flavor
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest for extra lemon flavor

Method
 

Prepare the Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved completely. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Once the syrup has cooled, add the fresh lemon juice, raspberries, and lemon zest. Blend until smooth.
Chill the Mixture
  1. Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.
Churn the Sorbet
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Sorbet
  1. Transfer the sorbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours or until firm.
Serve
