Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb frozen gyoza dumplings vegan
  • 1 lb heirloom tomatoes mixed colors
  • 1 English cucumber or 4 Persian cucumbers
  • 5 scallions thinly sliced
  • 1 red chili pepper optional for heat
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves fresh
  • 3 Tbsp Tamari low sodium
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2-3 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish or crispy fried onions
  • garlic chili sauce for extra flavor
  • optional add ins thinly sliced cabbage, carrot, bean sprouts, edamame

Method
 

  1. Steam the potstickers or dumplings according to package instructions until fully cooked through. Transfer them to a large bowl, adding a teaspoon of sesame oil to prevent sticking and enhance flavor.
  2. In a small bowl, combine Tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup to create a flavorful dressing. Pour this mixture over the steamed dumplings and gently toss them until evenly coated.
  3. Cut the heirloom tomatoes into wedges and thinly slice both the cucumber and scallions. Add these vibrant vegetables into the bowl along with the optional red chili pepper if you prefer some heat.
  4. Tear fresh basil leaves over the top of your salad mixture for an aromatic finish. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds or crispy fried onions on top before serving at room temperature.
  5. Serve your Potsticker Salad with garlic chili sauce on the side. Customize it further by adding any additional veggies you love!
