Method
Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, beaten egg, and olive oil until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the shredded cheese, chopped olives, and herbs until evenly distributed.
Bake the Bread
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
